Thanks NickD for posting our site in this thread. I would like to give a coupon to adminaddict forum for a year. This coupon gives 5$ discount for any purchase from dckshop.com. I can only give 5$ discount as I dont get much from each sale of license :D

Anyone can use that code to purchase at dckshop.

You still have one pending transfer that you have not reply to them that you accept their TOS & Agreement before they can push the license to your account.

Wow sweet. My leased one runs out in 6 months, will you still have some then or is it a short period deal type thing? :)

I plan on going shopping for licenses when they come available - I am happy to stay on 3.8 for a while and gradually update to 4.0 if it all warrants it - however my first aim is to get rid of the IPB Board just to give some extra cash into my account to be buying licenses.

I which i knew this site a couple months ago I sold a vb Owned License, Branding Free, Blog, vBSEO, vBCommerce (Unlimited Shops) and others all bundled up for $350 - I thought it was worth it haha.

Wow, though you're out of stock right now the price I saw for an owned vB license was excellent. I shall return next time I'm in need of a license.

OK, I'm relatively new to this whole owing a VBulletin license. What's the benefit in owning multiple licenses?

Well, for one thing, multiple vB sites :) (Yes, some of us really are that crazy.) Plus you get volume discounts.

You guys are busy! One Forum is a lot of work. Can you go into more detail about what the volume discounts entails? Thanks!

I feel insanely stupid right now. Are you saying that people are selling their vB licenses?

If I intend to stay with vB and our leased license expires in October, is this something I should be looking into?

Are you able to discuss pros and cons of this without violating any vB rules?

Yes, there is a small but thriving trade in vB licenses; people often sell them off for one reason or another. It is not against the rules although I'm sure the company would prefer everyone bought them new. :)

Once you start accumulating active vB licenses the price goes down:

    Code:
    Licenses Cost Per
    1 - 2 $180.00
    3 - 5 $166.00
    6 - 10 $153.00
    11 - 24 $140.00
    25 - 49 $128.00
    50+ $119.00

You would be better off having an active owned license when vBulletin 4 is released. However, as of yet, I don't know what the upgrade costs from a leased license to the new standard license will be with the release of vBulletin 4. Until the pricing is announced it would be a gamble on your part to buy a second-hand license.

Is there a general price structure that says "this is a great deal" and "this is a deal that says you'd be better off just buying a brand new license?

Meaning x amount of months left should be $x?

I know this topic is old. But I found this page on google several days ago, and yes, im in need of vbulletin board, I contacted jack for a sale forum classic 4.0. He ran out of stock but he offered me the sweater deal + $5 discount from adminaddict.net (thanks adminaddict), I took it and I just paid. Now, im waiting for the transferring. I will let you guys know more detail after I got it transferred.

just FYI, Jack wont give you the license number. He said that DCKshop has really good reputation so just trust him.
