Anyway, this isn't a suggestion or feedback. This should be moved to the imaginary lost & found area.

Yeah, I too wondered why the hell was this in suggestion and feed back. It's not a suggestion for AA nor feedback.

Well, to be honest. Creating a where's <insert name here> thread in a suggestion and feedback area is not directly admin addict related and we can see scores, maybe hundreds of threads related to members cluttering this area up.

Here's a suggestion. How about a thread stickied in the Miscellaneous Discussion area titled Member watch or something similar. People who are concerned about other members absence can post and if other members know about the persons whereabouts they can reply.

imo, people should use other means to find out where people are. AA is not the primary place of any subject member, unless you are staff. ;)

Go to their places of business or primary hangout. Email them personally. If someone does not want to be contacted....it's probably for a reason.

/useless thread really, as these really only serve to create drama

Already reported. I hope the staff doesn't keep insults like that on the board, I really do not care to be a part of a community that allows it.

I disagree. Any time there's a forum "community" such as this is, when someone doesn't show up for a while, someone is going to ask about him/her. It's called "caring". If people wouldn't use them to create drama, or voice their intense dislike of the subject in question, these threaads would be just fine.

It can be posted in the misc forum. It's not a bit deal, honestly, it's not.

And Shelley, i wasn't judging anyone. Your post contributed nothing to the OP's question. So you don't like Wayne and he doesn't like you. If you really dislike him that much, ignore him and/or any mention of him. That's how everyone gets along on a community site. Post with the ones you like and ignore the ones you don't like. *shrug* It's easy.

    Tex, I agree.

@Peggy -- I didn't say that to mean I didn't "care" about Wayne or TomZilla's intent or even that the AA Community should not care.

I'm saying there are other, better ways to contact of determine the accessibility of someone in lieu of a thread like this.

It's not hard to put 2+2 together, Wayne Luke is an employee of vB, doing his job (i know b/c I've dealt w/ him recently) posting on vb.com, etc. all to speak to your point early in the thread.

IMO, again, given the current plethora of angst towards vB in general, this type of thread just adds to it. Did TomZilla say they he tried other methods before putting up an Amber Alert? (bad joke I know and I mean no disrespect)

I am with you though Peggy. :)

I partially agree. This thread serves no purpose, so is being closed.
The posts that were reported have been taken care of since 6AM this morning. :) (9 hours ago)
