vBulletin rep system vs thanks hack!

    I use the thanks system on vBulletin with great success. Rep was always a disaster.

    The Reputation System works really well on my board when coupled with the Thanks Mod.

    I disabled Negative Reputations on my board, so they can't be abused.

    I installed the Thanks Mod and enabled the option that makes it give one Reputation Point to the person being thanked.

    If a user makes a post that is worthy of more than just one point, they can use the regular Reputation button to leave them a nice message, coupled with extra points.

    We're actually considering changing it to a "Like" (like Facebook) system, rather than a "Thanks" system, because that's what we use it as. A way to say we Like a post, rather than Thanking them for it.
