That's pretty much what I've been saying too.
It's funny that just the other day I was thinking that we hadn't heard any bad PR from vb in several months.
I guess if you're going to get caught messing up, might as well let your own servers be compromised.

You should just do us a favor and quit.

You are a joke and have turned vBulletin and everything and everyone at vBulletin into a joke.

No he shouldn't. I've said it for a while Paul M. and Mark B. are 100% symbolic of what vBulletin is now.

Plus, how else would vBulletin 4.xx continue recieve updates if it gets a new lead programmer or whatever lolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololololololololololol

I didn't think it snowed in California but this sounds like a blizzard of a snow job to me.

All the reports to the contrary are wrong?

    Just read that on vBulletin.

Also read, not sure where? That vB.org was hacked again either today or yesterday.

    Here it is: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=304654

    Remember this one?
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...tall-system-exploit-vbulletin-4-1-vbulletin-5
I would not be surprised if this exploit is how the hackers got access to the vb server or if they forgot to remove their own install directories, while they were telling customers to do so. If this is the case then they could have known that their servers were compromised.
It's pretty silly to get hacked now due to an an exploit that they warned about 5 months ago.

I read an article at Hacker News about this exploit. They showed a screenshot of the compromised vbulletin db and it was the real deal. My username and email were at the top of the screenshot. They also showed a screenshot of all the staff logins. They showed userid, usergroup, login name and email.

Is this a real live admission from a VB staff member. Actually admitting that Vb was lax in its security?
