Then, as I have said before, get a lawyer and go to court. I'm sure that if you have proper evidence that ilia is legally a partner, the judge will give you access to everything you want. All if this belongs in court, not on an admin forum. Unless of course, you cant prove anything. Then gossip is all you have.

    Winner. Yup, there you go.

Gossip: "Casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true."

There is lots of confirmation data, most of which you guys have tried to explain away, ignore, or detract attention away from. But telling the truth doesn't preclude pursuing legal options either.

Labeling the discussion as merely gossip may suit your purpose, but the fact is lots of important information has been shared. However, if this was solely "gossip" each of you are active participants.

Well this thread turned into a complete waste of space.
The last five pages seem to mostly be three people trying to see who can piss the furthest.

Where is the "ignore thread" option when you need it. :D

Unlikely. Most of the regulars have moved on to other gigs. Joe and Ilia will still be here, of course. They don't have other gigs. :D

Because it was never about the customers.

Whatever this was about, it has been so bastardized in this thread by now it's completely lost its focus and momentum. To the point where it's all rather pointless except to increase everyone's post totals.

It's already into its 4th (or 5th) season. Just like all those other reality shows, we wonder who watches but they just won't go away. I preferred The Osbornes...

It hasn't be about the customers for years, if you see how things have been run at vbseo.com. This is the final opportunity to do right by the customers.

This thread pretty much shows the current mentality of the world these days. People beg for some news on VBSEO. Ilia shows up and gives some insight, as much as possible that she is capable and allowed to do, then she is attacked because she is not Juan. So, basically everyone has decided only Juan can give them what they want, but he chooses not to speak at all.

So now what is the state of VBSEO? Who knows.. Does the product still have value? Sure. If you are running older versions of Vbulletin I imagine it is still making you money. I understand the venom everyone feels, but unless you are a rather recent customer, you probably made your money back if you used the product correctly. So, no sense really complaining. No product last forever, and I never saw anything on VBSEO saying it was a lifetime license. Hell, Vbulletin told everyone they get to have a lifetime license on their product then, once the company was sold that changed and you had to pay again. And there was no discount.

Just all seems silly to me. I honestly hope Ilia comes back with more news, but it does seem most of the people and their attitude has run her off. Shame.. Of course this is just my opinion...

Actually, it is advertised as a lifetime license. However, obviously, businesses do fail sometimes.

So what that essentially means, IMO, is that the license survives the company and that usage can continue under those terms.

What is more important is that the license explicitly includes priority support for 1-year. Priority support, in any reasonable interpretation of the phrase, has not been provided for a long time.

Note: I expect Ilia will provide an update when she has further information. She hasn't received a response, but she is still actively managing the issue. With the level of non-productive communication that is happening here (including conversations I've entertained), she is not interested in joining the effort to diminish the focus of this thread.

Juan may have been advised by legal consultants not to talk about the issue until a press release can be drafted. In any event, it is interesting to read the information Ilia has to share, whether it is constructive or not. However, I generally had a good experience with Juan. When I bought my first license, he helped expedite the delivery and got me up and running. As the owner of the company, he could have assigned someone else to handle this, but he was the main guy I talked to, and he cared at that time. Do circumstances in life change? Do people change? All the time. Ultimately, Juan will probably have the final say on what happens to VBSEO. With vBulletin 5, I don't think they'll support it, honestly. If I had to guess, they will continue support for VB4 and start selling again or they are already in negotiations to sell the company. If there is silence it is probably because some attorney advised such or the program is truly in a state of limbo. The customers who bought a license right before they stopped selling it probably have a legitimate reason to be angry, and I am not sure if the license had a severability clause in the event the company ever ceased most of its operations. I imagine that is the reason there is silence. Maybe even contemplation about what to do next. I think there is still a demand for this product, otherwise people would not be clamoring about this story.
