We are not allowed to criticize or disparage the product, employees or the company in any form or fashion...which is a clear line that I have already crossed and should not have ;)

    You know,

I'm not sure what upsets me more. The quality of the product. Or the employees who let this product out the door. Which is more upsetting?

And because the alpha team are not allowed to discredit the product no matter how badly the finished gold product is then we can safley say the employees aren't allowed to either which means we are told fibs, lies and all sorts of incorrectly diluted information (which I see happening). They are prity much praising a product that is far from a golden product. I'm sure winnie the pooh would be deeply scared of this pot of golden honey.

Just validates my point that you never receive a straight up honest response. :hello:

It is what it is. I have decided to make the best of a rather unfortunate situation and leave the corporate politics behind me. I need to get cracking learning the code so I can make some money from all those out there dieing to change the look of their 4.0 board :D

    I was kidding around.

I have little idea about the software's quality since I never used it,past a quickie demo.

Really ? I must admit I havent let the NDA affect anything I have to say about the released product, as far as Im concerned, I can comment just as much as anyone else, I doubt IB could enforce anything else, we are not disclosing anything that isnt already public.

Unlike some i dont think all of vb4 is a disaster, just the CMS - I dont care what excuses IB come out with about the number of queries not being significant - in the real world it is - and anything that needs 100+ to render a page is incredibly badly designed IMO.

Here's another customer who is letting IB step all over them: vBulletin Community Forum

Why are they "waiting" and just sitting back?

Some people attack the concerned customers. They don't receive a response which eliminates their fears and this ends with the customer being disheartened by the whole fiasco that is going on. Basically, these so called advocates of vbulletin are bullying the concerned customers into submission, somewhat trying to silence them. That's my opinion on the matter and I see validated concerns being pounced upon by some members and members who once grieved their outrage and now are doing what seems to come naturally, attack peoples concerns.

Remain persistent, and don't let them walk all over you (speaking generally there). The poor replies by these people "use another software", "use another browser", "carry on using 3.8" etc etc is just on the lines of silly response/bullying tactics especially when these people paid for a product that is unusable.

I'll probably get accused of bashing again.

After reading all the vB4 threads here, on vb.com and some twitterprofiles, vB4 could be the best, invision power could happen:D

Soooo many boards switches to ipb....
I also bought a licence, but i'm not sure if i'll switch all my boards to ipb, because i'm using many add-ons wich are coded by me, so it would take to much time to convert them to ipb and it would cost too much, to let somebody else do the work for me.

I tested IPB as a possibly to switch.

Didn't like it's ACP. It's not as straightforward as vBulletin's.

Plus, learning to code for IPB would take a while in itself, regardless of how long it would take to convert my mods.
