I've been getting that too. Maybe I should see if there's a way to prevent that before someone hurts themselves.

I allow username changes unless someone changes he's username like every week or every month then they will not be allowed.

actually, I had one member who requested username changes almost on a daily basis for a while. I went along with it because he was doing it to be funny. The members are still talking about the time he changed his name to Deborah. :)

Don't really have a policy on it. Would simple change it unless it got to be burdensome.

I allow it, but it's becoming too populair so I need to set some rules about it.

I allow username changes, they just have to send me a PM. I don't think I've ever had someone request more than once, and I don't really get too many requests.

I know AA allows username changes, considering I asked for one when this place was relaunched. :p

I have them post their requests on a stickied thread; I don't want them asking by PM, I think the request should be made public.

I don't favour pm request for username changes. In fact it should be an open request by creating a topic so that other members recognise them

Or, private. I mean, what's better than tripping fellow members out?

Sooner or later, they'll figure out that it's the same old member, but still, I think it could be pretty funny.

i allow members to change their name twice.

even though i change my username a lot on other forums, i keep to the same one as admin because it might confuse the members.

the only two members who did change their username asked in chat, one to her name, and the other to the name she used on our old forum (which confused members cause she left ages ago and most of them didnt know her real identity)
