TBH I wouldn't look for GARS to be updated anytime in the near future.

I agree, I purchased gars and found that it was never being updated ever. Personally, I wouldn't deal with this company again due to the development being at a stagnated none existence stage.

It's pretty much gone downhill since Sam handed over the reins to someone else.
Sad too. It was a good product.

I see several of my add-on's going that way. With the cms/article in vb4 I may be going that way. I currently use it with the newletter and may be getting a friend to help upgrade the code to at least function with it. Until an alternative is found. That's why it will be quite awhile before I upgrade.

True, but as the saying goes - no reward without effort :)

Just as a note, there has never been a time where ImpEx was to be used as the official upgrade path when moving between any version. You should never use ImpEx as a means to upgrade. ImpEx is strictly for merging multiple boards into one.

There is always an upgrade path in ./install/upgrade.php. Regardless of what version you're upgrading from.

Speaking of upgrades, later today I'm going to do exactly that. I'm gonna install 2.3.11, then run through the upgrade script all the way to 4.0.0 Beta 3.

Why, you ask? It's a tradition of mine to do this everytime they make a feature release. :)

Plus I have nothing better to do today. :P
