Posters inside the club...

It was an honest question on my part. I was wondering about doing the same type of thing. It isn't BS if you are the copyright owner or if you could get into trouble using copyrighted images. And it is not to say that Chip didn't use public domain images (just found some websites for those) or got permission to use the photos--not accusing, just asking about the legalities of doing it.

So, as it was wrong to ask, I looked it up and modifying another's work does not get you around having violated the copyright. And photos do not have to have a copyright notice on them to be considered copyrighted. So to do these kinds of posters yourself, you would want to use your own photos or get your images from a public domain site. Again, not saying that Chip didn't.

And yes--they were very creative and show a talent that is far above just anyone attempting to do it themself.

FWIW I wasn't talking about you. Didn't even see you ask the question. Thunder and Chip again. All Steve needs is a 1/10 of inch of an in to turn a thread into a copyright issue. It's utterly ridiculous.
