I won't go into exacting details, but I will say that we are "financially fortunate". ;)

The house we have in Trujillo Alto[we live in Carolina] had a down payment of $250,000 7 years ago and we pay monthly, if I'm not wrong, $3,000+ to keep it maintained.

When we moves to Carolina, we wanted something closer to my college and out of the world[city].

This is our house in Trujillo Alto

That was taken uhh, 2 years ago?

When I get back to Carolina I'll get picture of both houses.

Rich..not really. I try to live within my means and pay cash for most everything. The house is inherited. not exactly where I would live but it is a very nice neighborhood. Even in these times due to location the value has not dropped.

Just a modest townhouse in North Texas.

Not to keen on the big American house's though. Seem to be a fire hazard...

    .

Even though in the UK, many die due to house fires at least most the time it's a small fire... I would rather live in a small place knowing its quick to get fron one place to another, instead of having to climb flights of stairs to get the kitchen D:

I am not really too worried about a fire at my house, automated 911 call and the fire station is not more then 30 seconds away at 35 mph. (And our city just got new fire trucks, and those suckers can friggin fly down the road!)

I'm not to worried about it either.

Though, my dad used to own this rental house and the next door house burnt down. Guess where the fire station was. Literally 2 houses down from it. They could of freaken stuck the hose out their window and put it out.

    I'm back home now!

We bought our house in May for $400,000... It has 4 bedrooms, 2 and a half bathrooms, we're on about 2 acres of land, and my mom said they pay 8,400 dollars in taxes.

Edit: Image shack sucks- attachments uploaded.

Thanks Gibbs - it's nice, I like it. We downsized when we moved in May, but this is more homey!

Chris, I just noticed you added another picture of your other house. Is that your vacation house? If so, why have a house the same size, if not bigger, as your primary residence, if you and your family only go there for vacation?

    Thats about £245,000

For that ammount of money, you would not get a house like that here. Damn. I would happily move to America for the houses.

Right now I'm living in this hotel. It's pretty cool, and the neighbourhood is good too. There aren't many other people that live here though... which makes the place pretty darn quiet :)

Well, keep in mind there are houses around here for more money. Our house was built in 2003, but we added customizations prior to us moving in.

That hotel's amazing - is that in Japan?
