Apparently posted images that prove you wrong is not good enough.

Okay, this is certainly getting way out of hand. Explanations have been made as clearly as possible, so I'm afraid we're on the borderline of it being impossible for either of you to make your points. So there's no point in continuing.

I'm not closing the thread [yet], but I'd like for the back-and-forth non-productive bickering to cease. :)

I think we've all gotten a bit confused.

MyBB lets you create a number of administrator groups - all that is necessary is the "Can access Admin CP?" checkbox to be selected for that group. By default, the only group that has this is the Administrator group. The name of this group (and every group) can be changed at will; what they are called is not really relevant.

In MyBB, super administrators are those set in the configuration file, and cannot be edited, banned, or deleted. Being a super administrator does not give you complete access to the Admin CP, as this is handled separately by Admin Permissions.

Admin Permissions can be set on a global/default (for all with access to the Admin CP), group (narrowed down to each group with access), and individual user (narrowed down for each user) level. It uses a system of inheritances; that is, if a user does not have any permissions set, then the group's permissions are used, and if those are not set, then the default permissions are used.

These are, in essence, the privileges administrators are given. MyBB allows you to narrow down permissions to a tab-by-tab, section-by-section basis.

MyBB refers to all users who have access to the Administrator Control Panel as Administrators, however, group names may be different, as they can be changed on a forum by forum basis.

    .

As far as I know, SMF does not allow you to set these privileges. Every person with access to the Admin CP have complete access. It also looks like that there is only one group with administrative access, and that is the Administrator group.

I'm going to note that I am a member of the MyBB team, so obviously I know much more about MyBB than SMF. I based my statements regarding SMF on a quick inspection of my localhost installation of 1.1.x, so I'm not entirely sure how correct they are or if this has changed for SMF 2.0. However, based on the other posts in this thread, I believe I am correct.

myBB chose to call it admins and super admins, SMF chose to call it Global moderators and admins.

"SMF has ZERO administrator modifications in it.It does not exist!"
Wrong statement. You can split up admin rights in 6 sections.

"As you will see that Administrators has by DEFAULT ALL of the administrative permissions. There is no way to modify them."
Right. But you can split them in 6 sections for Global Moderators.

It all comes down to that people here won't aknowledge the options are the same. They are just for groups named in different ways in the two systems.
The only difference is that you can split admin options more out in myBB. But an admin permission is still an admin permission, no matter who you assign it to, or what the person is called.

Justin, no matter what, it's hopeless. Thank you for explaining, though.
