the chalky look is due to the quality and resolution and i put the text in as a banner
i will act on your advice and update it soon

 

It does not matter about size, especially when it's designed to be that size for a specific site.

You do NOT need gloss on everything, infact I learned the hard way with this, somethings look better without it.

Wrong, you can and it can be a good idea to have words on a logo.
