Have the balls to say something? what have you said exactly that's states you have big balls? you've just abused a respected member of the community? Your just angry that he hasn't just come out with it, you know, what you think kier should come out with. That's what your pissed off about.

I tell you something, and it's a question I have asked myself recently. The staff that left kept their dignity intact by leaving a company that merely doesn't care about it's customers, whilst the old regome still there stand by a product that is completely shite and continue supporting it in the way of coming to these 3rd party sites and praising it to these unsuspecting members who to them are potential customers. So, yeah, from what I see, I have a lot more respect for those that left than the ones that remain who care about their next pay check. So this squeaky clean image you refer to his pure and utter nonsense.

Let's just assume kier does have a product in the pipeline, I'll tell you one thing, I'd much rather use that than the barrel of shit vbulletin solutions are throwing down our throats. You know, those people with the "squeaky clean image" The ones that still remain to pickup their next pay check.

I think your anger is mis-directed. your writings are seriously flawed, redundant. I'm not a big woman, but I have the balls to tell you your talking nonsense.

Quoted in case he deletes it:
Although that brings doubt to whether it's a new type of forum he's making.

Got to admit, it's fun to watch all the hype about this.

Just throwing something up in the air since this thread is full of speculation and assumptions anyway :)

Could IPB/phpBB/vBulletin customers upgrade to a future solution (if any, regardless by who)?
I am open to consider upgrading (see previous post) if the time is there - which won't ever be version 4. I am glad that's all behind me now. But it's a full show stopper for me if I can't properly upgrade/convert.

Would it be a reason for you not to upgrade?

It would definitely stop me from using any such software if you couldn't convert to it from another forum type. I'm not losing 300 000+ posts and what not, no matter how good the software is.

If those big three have converters, why wouldn't a new product?

Especially if it's Kier who is behind it. He's smart enough to know that if he's trying to be the savior of the vB-hoopla victims, he's going to need to provide a bridge for us to cross the river.

I said this in an earlier post: I'm not switching to anything, no matter who made it, if it is detrimental to my community, or doesn't provide more benefits than my current setup. If it's better for my community to stay with 3.8 than to switch to something else, then so be it.

I don't think anyone will switch to something worse than they have. That's why you see no one switching from vBulletin to phpBB... or vBulletin 3.8 to 4.0.

So, considering something may be announced in the upcoming week... anyone else really interested in seeing what's shown?

I doubt that anything that Kier releases will have all of the bells 'n' whistles that your current version, and all of its add-ons, produce - at first.
However, I am very sure that features will be added to the base script in quick succession.

    Hypothetically speaking, of course. :D

I meant in Kier's forum software, not vBulletin 4.
