Is this the end to xenForo?

For a $140, I'm happy to support a forward thinking forum project. To me, XF took vB 3.8 brought it into this decade and added useful member facing features to it. IMHO, it's a lot better than what vBulletin itself has done.

If XF were to fold tomorrow I wouldn't look for my money back unless it was offered.

My thinking now is do I convert to XF and hope that it's not sued into oblivion? What happens if they are sued into oblivion? Is anyone going to have converters for XF, etc? Will I be stuck going back to vB as I'm not a fan of IPB.

If vB were to offer a 'security license' just with security patches into the future for 3.8, I'd jump on it.

 

I don't think this is the end for xenForo. I really believe that they'll get it under control and either beat IB at their own game or settle in the end. The worst that could happen would be if IB attempts to acquire xenForo. If all else, I'd probably jump to IPB I guess.

 

Well I made up my mind and purchased XF yesterday so I hope it goes nowhere lol
