thanks!!! i had no idea about the wysiwyg post thingy on vbulletin...have to go and try this on one of the other forums im on.

i think wysiwyg is awesome, cause you know exactly what somethings going to look like before you press post.

and you can have fun doing things like this much easier

WYSIWYG is very important. Just like me although I have learned basic HTML but I have no time to focus on it. Why should I need to know everything if there is somebody who knows it and can provide simplification? Some people just like me have no passion in knowing the codes and scripts, we'll just leave to the expert.

It is like if you want to aim something which needs an expertise beyond your capability why not hire or ask the experts who have passion on the specific task and focus on what you like most?

It depends - on one of my forums almost nobody uses it. Because the forum started out with phpBB and when I converted it to vB and gave them all the WYSIWYG editor as standard, they complained. So I put it back to standard and everyone was happy.
On my other forums I use WYSIWYG and haven't had complaints.

I missed the function when starting to use forum software a couple of years back. Now I got so used to BBC, that even SMF 2 has a great WYSIWYG editor with quick switch as well, I didn't use it a lot.
I also tend to disable the WYSIWYG function in other forums where I sign up.
