    True that. I just want to make sure people know i am only speaking for myself at this time. If we are able to become involved in a class action lawsuit, then it will finally be all of our thoughts.

    I'm really confused. v4 suite is exactly what you wanted in functionality. Simply click on the button in admin cp to disable the cms, and leave the blogs enabled.

    What is it about the suite that is unpalatable to you? I understand there other issues involved, but just focus on the blog/v3 you have now vs the v4 suite as far as functionality.

    I know what. It's the fact that blog owners are being made to pay for the blog AGAIN. However, that only applies to people who weren't gonna use the CMS anyway. I use Joomla with a bridge which works just fine for me and I wasn't gonna buy the CMS.
    Needing the blogs, I'm forced to buy the Suite. I will probably use the CMS once it's matured as a product. But only because I pay for it anyway.

    They are forcing people to buy stuff they don't want, and it cost extra money to make said purchase. I understand you can shut off the cms, but i really don't want the cms. All i want is the blog software and my forum software. I am glad people like the function of shutting things off, but if i spend the money on something, i plan on using it. I will not and do not want a cms at this point in time.

    Did you purchase M/S Office?

    Do you use all the products in the Suite?

    Can't buy just Word or Exel or Outlook, have to purchase the Suite. From there on install you can chose not to use certain "Office Suite Modules" as you see fit.

    I don't use any of the software you named. I understand what you are saying, and i would not be as bothered had i not purchased a blog license first.

    Bad example.. You can actually purchase each product separately =)

    [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-065-04940-Office-Excel-2007/dp/B000HCVR1M]Amazon.com: Microsoft Office Excel 2007: Software[/ame]
    [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-079-02840-PowerPoint-2007/dp/B000HCVR44/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1257462594&sr=1-3]Amazon.com: Microsoft PowerPoint 2007: Software[/ame]

    I could go on =)

    I think the suite is actually a good deal. What most people are complaining about is the fact that they purchased the blog, and are told it's discontinued. But then it's added to the vb 4.x suite. They need to re-purchase something they have already paid for.

    You can purchase the forum only, or the suite which comes at the price of forum + blog and that is fine, i think.

    Aside from having proven that wrong, there is another case here:
    vBulletin users were promised that the blog solution would be a one time purchase. You could very easily say that we were lied to, because we were.

    Knowing that the blogs were going to be discontinued, did IB/vB discontinue sales of them? Hell no! They continued selling them up until the last minute. At my last check (September, IIRC), the blog could still be purchased, despite IB knowing that they weren't going to continue with the product!

    Knowing that the PT addon was going to be free, did they stop selling it? Absolutely not. Did they offer customers refunds? Absolutely not. They milked their customers for as much as they were worth, out of desperation, and they still are doing so.

    Your point is well taken with me, and i understood where you are coming from. For new customers of vb.com, it is an awesome deal. Sadly, i have spent many years building my vbportal cms and hate to start loosing things i had written to work within my cms. Using javascript, i have a random video player, random image player, ect....and i don't think at this time, vbulletins cms will offer the same stuff.
