    OMFG! :D

Time to start transferring files from my XP partition to my new virtual XP machine so I can delete that old partition! :D

Thank you thank you thank you. :D

Here's my question: If the Virtual PC is considered an "Update", why isn't it on the standard Windows Update list?!?

Anyway, 3ds MAX is working wonderfully now! :D

There are two things that I don't like, however. Those are that it doesn't integrate my video card in order to run MAX in Direct3D viewport mode, and it's telling me that I don't have virus protection.

I guess I'll be downloading AVG Free for this one. I have the AVG Suite for my Win7 install.

    A few reasons:
Firstly, like with Vista, everything is on the same DVD. Unlike with Vista, the 32 and 64 bit versions are on the same dvd. This leaves very little room for an update of that size.

Secondly, it was just finished a couple weeks back IIRC. This wouldn't have put it there in time for RTM on dvd.

Thirdly, this is something most people won't use, because most people are fine with the lower end windows (home/premium). This was designed for the business environment due to the fact that they claim the 3D environment isn't suitable for virtualization.

Lastly, if they did so they'd be giving away a free copy of XP to everyone that ordered 7. This way, they can control it a bit. This contains a fully licensed copy of XP, as I understand it
