I have dropped my Twitter....in the gutter! You have got to be kidding.

I am very receptive to new internet technologies, but Twitter is just a teenage joke. Like Facebook, only worse. I can't believe some companies actually make official announcements solely on Facebook & twitter these days....they obviously only want teenagers buying their products because people like me won't see them.

Well, there are many and various reasons why people use twitter and even professionals.

1)It's quicker and easier, you just have to type in 140 and you can let your users know if you're down, why are you down and when the site would be back up.

2)You don't have to make a whole thread telling the world about one update, you could just post on twitter. Better than a thread with two lines.

    3) I personally don't use it much, but when I do I has fun.

4)It's in at the moment, therefore you could have a big possibility to whore yourself(advertise your site) and reach a bigger audience.

you are far off my friend
there are many stats that show "teenagers" aren't the majority of the users
    Here is one for example
2009 Twitter Demographics and Statistics Report | iStrategyLabs
I chat with people all over the world every day, and less then 1% are under the age of 21.
It's a great networking tool, but you must use it correctly. Don't call something a joke just because you don't know how to use it :)
