You think? Maybe I should set up a third style with it displayed on all pages, and see what our members think.

And it's not an option - so I'd have to figure out how the heck to manually change it.

I think that would be fantastic if you did.

Don't get your hopes up; I have a strong feeling that I'm not capable of getting the sidebar to display on all pages.

Wouldn't I just be better off editing the current sidebar to make it appear on all pages? Using a mod would require me to keep two sidebars updated rather than just one.

If we did figure this out I think it would be best to make the template edits to a new skin rather than bringing in a new sidebar mod like Nick said. Actually getting it to show on every single page (is this what you want) would be quite a challenge. It would also make a lot of the main content to appear quite narrow.

Yes, we have the Latest Posts sidebars on each forum...

This seems to be an accessibility without going to "View New Posts" or "Today's Posts."

At Setsou Design, we also have the Chatango as a sidebar.

I don't like sidebars on anything except a portal page, I think they tend to clutter up a forum just a little to much.

I'm using a sidebar on my new site, and one of the skins of my largest site has a sidebar. I use it for internal and external links, a search box, a log-in form (for guests), and an ad on my bigger site.

I wanted an affiliate side bar for both of my sites, but I could not find one and making a custom code will take me forever.

I used to have a sidebar in my forum, but that was years ago. Currently, no, I do not have a sidebar in my forum.

I like having sidebars, I think having the posts/index information take up the entire width of the page doesn't look good. Unfortunately, not many templates have sidebars.

I usually do not use Sidebars. They always get in my way when I am trying to post on the forum. They can get annoying. But, If my members want one, I would give it to them :D
