Discover vs. Amex

My mom and grandfather have the black amex as well, I have a pink Visa. *~*

 

Wow, you people are lucky... The Black card, I mean, amazing!

 

Don't be surprised, make good money and have good credit, you get the best. I have a few high end cards, but I regularly use my Amex for purchases.

Money, like it is to Chris, is never an issue for me.

 

I love the bonus'. We just went on a vacation in Hawaii using our AmEx points and next year it's a cruise to Alaska.

 

The Charles Schwab Visa linked to your investor account (no minimum balance) is the best card possible right now. It pays 2% cash back on ALL purchases. One wild thing people are doing right now is using that card to purchase $1 coins at the US Mint in bulk (free shipping). They will order like $5000 at a time (the CC limit), and earn 2% on that, and do that every couple of weeks. I haven't tried that but it is really cool to get the cash back, and for me this adds up way faster than points on the AMEX. The problem with the Discover is so few places accept it.

 

Visa's Black Card is the AmEx Black Card on steroids. I use a AmEx Platinum. The rewards are nice. Even though you pretty much "bought" the stuff, it still feels nice being treated by a creditor.
