Development stopped until the trial is over?

Do you think other solutions are different ?
IPB for example , we paid for Priority Support and we have a support ticket awaiting a response over 3 hour now.

 

And yes, as mentioned above and I left out...

The fact that we haven't heard a single word from either developer for what 4-5 months - and atleast one is all over Facebook...

No, not good and doesn't sit well with me.

Granted, if everything was moving along fine - I wouldn't expect to hear anything... But things are not moving along fine and things are not well. Folks have basically begged for something to be said... But the silence goes on and on.

 

Let's be realistic. Yes, every forum software has it's own issues and complaints. But you don't see IPB or vBulletin allowing negative discussion about competitors to run on for many, many pages, not like that vBulletin 5 thread is on XenForo now spanning (how many pages). It spans a massive 46 pages and still not locked?

And you've got Kier posting on Facebook, proving he's around. So how comes he can't even show his face on XenForo, let alone post anything? Come on!

I suppose the fan-boys will say, their legal team said "don't even show your face on XF, let business go down pan and do as much damage as possible until court date arrives, we don't care if you can't afford to pay us anymore". Just keep being a ghost! :ghost:

I'm not a hater of XenForo, I wish they'd have got their act together and sorted things out. I'm just telling things how I see it, and things don't look good in how they act towards customers.

 

Im still waiting for all those answers to customer's questions that Ashley was working on. Never saw that posted...

What could he be doing? Its not like he's tending to Xenforo business, so he should have plenty of time....

Of course it happened after 3 posts. I called it when they first said they wouold do a q/a. days would turn to weeks. When someone asked then everyone would be too buys, yadda yadda yadda.

Im starting to think its more then just bad business.

That tells me its a pretty dire situation. I dont think Brogan would quit over something trivial....

 

It goes well beyond bad business.

Everyone thought Mark B. was crazy for declaring XenForo dead, and turns out he was right.

 

My guess, the company is dead, just not buried. Or possibly there is a settlement with IB where IB now owns Xenforo, but as part of the terms it has to be confidential until a specific date. Furthermore, they keep taking people's money for new licenses and renewals. Just my speculation... After all, thats all there is, speculation.

 

I think people think Mark is crazy for other reasons. He just happened to be right about Xenforo. That said, watching Mark's attitude progression in the vB LCF forum was something to watch. If one didn't know any better, it almost felt like IB paid him to shut his mouth.

 

ahaha man wouldn't that be something! All those people bought XenForo because they hate what IB did to vBulletin, then it turns out that IB ends up owning XenForo now too!

Not so amazing. It actually fits the facts. There hasnt been any real legal activity in some time, KAM, nowhere to be found, refusing to answer questions. IB releases vB5 and doesnt want this to affect the release. Kier going on vacations... Its not all that far fetched.

The real question is....... If that turns out to be true, Which "sucks" site gets the story?

 

That's probably the question of the century.

Most likely XFSucks, because that would suck way harder for those guys.
