This would be the second time i've heard this rumor. Wish I could get more conrete evidence as it seems this is the cause of all problems.

A friend of Kiers. Quite a while ago, I saw pics on his profile of her in a wedding gown with a man who is definitely not Kier.
I naturally assumed the man was her groom and Kier probably shot the wedding photos (he's quite a good photographer). Never gave it a second thought.

I could be wrong, of course.

I also still don't understand how can a facebook entry be related to Xenforo ?
Isn't it obvious that Kier is not responding anything on Xenforo and development is on hold ?

So what if he is going to a vacation or not ? How can this change any situation . It is really out of my head

 

Well it has been said many times, but here is my synopsis.

Xenforo is a commercial product. It's future is very important to me as I have customers who are using this product.
It is also important to me as I have mutiple licenses, all of which are renewed annually.

It is my job, to my customers, to report what their money has bought (initially) and what their renewal fees are purchasing anually.
It is also my job to ensure my customer's websites will be updated and/or patched should any security or vulnerability be found.

On top of all that, I am also expending numerous fees to developers to code various plugins for missing features.
In fact, I just spent $300 to have a plugin made (more than the cost of a license).

All the above said....

It has been "suggested" that the known state and known future of Xenforo is already - well - known.
I am going on blind faith that Xenforo does have a future, but the "rumors" have suggested otherwise.

Therefore, if the developers of this product already know what the future is and are failing to reveal that fact - it is wrong in my book.

The absence of any word from the developers.
The absence of any posting of the answers to the questions asked (which have "been ready" for over a month).
Leaves customer representatives - like me - having to do their own research to find out what's really going on.

Does it really matter that one of the developers is on vacation and who they are on vacation with? Not really.
Does it matter I am being told Xenforo can't hire addtional staff and/or afford additional development because of the lawsuit (but yet on vaction)? Yes, that matters. It matters because it shows where the developer's priorities are.

It's almost like having stock in a company and seeing the CEO drop all his shares and skip town....
Would you be concerned? I would...

So until I get some sort of assurance and/or response and/or show of support for the product - from the developers - I will continue to do my own due diligence and figure out what these developers are doing with my customer's money. That, in the end, is my job.

 

I'm guessing that point that some are trying to make is that if Kier has time/money to waste on vacations and post about them on Facebook, he should have the time to post on Xenforo's forums to discuss the current status of the software. To me, that is a huge slap in the face and shows exactly what he thinks of those that purchased his software and have stuck by him during the IB lawsuit.

As for the girl, sounds like some weird love triangle between the developers. I'm not even touching that. I, however, would be pissed at the above.

 

lol i careless about his personal life ....but things have gone out of order in xenforo . Check on Style release section /check off topic section where vb5 thread is still active people are still bashing vbulletin /IB as they like . When questions are asked about development quick actions are taken . Doesn't it reflect their business style .

XenForo - has become a bashing ground to put down other competitor products, while the Mods and KAM stand idly by watching it happen and allowing it to take place. But the minute you ask what's going their "key is turned, thread locked".
