    Whoa!
    1 - Off-topic? I think not...
This whole thread is about copying, and the two members it involves are here discussing. Other members are even sharing their opinions and thoughts on this matter. It's a very productive discussion, in my opinion. Besides, even if it was going off-topic (which it's not), it wouldn't matter because this thread is in the Miscellaneous forum.

2 - Flaming? I've seen no flaming. To me, it seems to be a civilized discussion with no insults or negativity. How much more pleasant and "non-flaming" can it get? As I said above, it's a civil and productive discussion.

    My thoughts exactly.

Its good to see that even complete strangers can understand my situation and see whats happening too, from an unbiased perspective.
Ill definately learn from this, and i hope others will too.

I was more-or-less referring to the discussion in general and not the current state of what's being posted. I see no problem with what has been said thus far. Perhaps I should have emphasized this in my previous post (and/or phrased what was said differently).

    I apologize. ;)

It won't be the first or last time it happens. I'm sure when AA posted the mods/plugins installed here. Quite a few probably went straight to vB.org and downloaded a few to install on their own forums.

On the one hand everyone visits sites and finds things that go through that "Oh that looks great let install and see what it does on my site" syndrome. It eventually fades as it's been proven not to benefit to the one following.

On the other hand a forum is not about the mods installed it's about the members. After all I could surf for 10 minutes and find 100 vb forums looking the exact same. Its the ideas and implementation of those ideas with the tools used. So the brainstorming, even offline (PM), makes the forums and that is what your general visitor or member is going to remember when they go to your site.
