Chief First Post for the free graphics area

As kevin said you can set this up to your own specified forum though if you have inserted extra fields in your postbit/legacy like what adminaddict have here you'll need to modify the templates and add them in. I know I had to add in the mood manager code for the moods to show but it's seriously not a problem.

I recommened the article layout for this script peggy if your planning on using it for your database graphics and styles sections.

No extra fields on my postbit, I try to keep that as default as possible.

That is what I was thinking about, at least once 4.0 comes out. GARS will be useless until Morgan updates it.

 

Wonderful idea, Shelley. And I'm with Nick here, I too have suffered the same fate of having things ignored.

 

It's not that I personally have had things ignored (although I have) but it's just annoying to see a site where everybody's input gets ignored.

 

Yeah, I hear you. I've belonged to such a site for over 5 years now that's just like that.

I guess this request is down to personal preference but is there a chance you can enable this for the showoff area? Whenever (and I'm sure for many people) is when they showoff their graphics/portfolio work they continously add to the first post in the thread and with many replies the focus on the content starts to steer away and with most threads they also tend to go off-topic which means the OP resorts to posting them in a new post rather than it be better that they edited their original post and add their work to the first post.

It's best of both worlds imo. You get to see the works without scrolling back (with members adding to their post) which I do on showoff work and you still get to read the latest replies (whether they are on-topic or off) and still view the works without the need to scroll back or go to page x to view addional works the Op posted when it would have been better adding to the first post.

Just a thought and something worth considering.

Thanks for fixing it up to match the regular postbit; I couldn't figure out why it wasn't doing that already.
However, look at the "Edit", "Quote", etc. buttons - they're all screwed up now.

Also, I think the 3D looks pretty cool. Maybe we can get a screenshot of the regular postbit and a screenshot of the 3D postbit and put up a poll for the members?

Okay, it's fixed now. I like it like that.

Also, do we have to keep the "Report, Subscription, Printable Version, Email" links on the side? I had originally removed them as they are all available in the thread tools drop-down menu, and they look out-of-place.
