It would take a real honest, unbiased person to critic their skin without being defensive of it.

No problem - Chic Petite looks okay, but not so "chicky."

Maybe Setsou Design can work something for you.

I understood that from the get-go, Nick, I don't need the explanation. I just wanted to make it known that some think other forums' skins are inferior to theirs.

Gah! :speechless: I always thought that was one of the best looking sites out, especially for the genre. I tried contacting the admin some time ago but no luck.

Travel Stories (came across this one recently; be forewarned it is Greek, not English)

The old version of Haiti Webs (Lionel's site); the new design isn't bad but I really liked his old one.

The old version of the "Star Trek: Online" fan stite; their original custom LCARS theme was amongst the best I've ever seen implemented for a forum. Last I heard the site was acquired by the actual game publisher and was totally revamped.

... and if my memory was better, there was a Russian site specializing in digital art that looked fantastic. I really should surf for it one day again.

I could not figure out how that other design was related at all. Having 2 people giving the same links was especially confusing.

 

Glorify the Past and e-Steki are solid sites that I've seen. I like Chase's new skin on TalkDelaware.com as well.

 

No, I haven't heard of that; I'll have to take a look next time I'm on Facebook.

I think my forum is one of the best I have seen. The theme is lightweight and loads fast and I have Peggy and themes by design to thank.

That's not a bad looking forum - on the contrary, it's actually quite sleek. They do use some funky coloring (meaning non-matching), however, such as:

Ony reason I am not amazed is because they took it from ColdStone and I saw other sites with it.
