Admin Addict New Owner, New Direction

The on in use as I type this needs the blue in "Addict" toned down to match the "IP.Static" theme, but would work well in the default Invision theme.

Great to see it back though, adds real class to the new look site.

 

This one should do the trick in the "IP.Static" theme.

Not sure about your later one with the letters "surrounded", I think it's better like this.

It's a simple logo, doesn't need any fancy stuff.

 

I do too, but I would also test that one with some border and shadow added to make the white ADMIN text look a little better, the very last one I uploaded. But yeah, the grey looks miles better and suits the dark theme. Blue is the wrong colour really and it was created to suit the IPB default theme, not this one.

 

Really sets the site off and makes it look really smart and modern while clearly keeping the essence of what was here before.

Interesting.....never thought of it that way. That might be worth a try.

it's hard to know for sure til you see them in place. That does look good in your screenshot, I admit...

That what I do also, here is an example of the last one being tested in photoshop before finally removing background layer and saving for using. I think the other looks better though, the other grey one. Not this one!

 

I think that's the best looking one myself.

New logo looks really good.

 

It's nice to see the original logo make a return. It looks fresh in the new colors, too. The other thing I would suggest is to pick between "AdminAddict" and "Admin Addict" and change everything to the one you want to use. As it is right now, some parts of the site have the space, and some do not. My vote goes to no space as that's the way it's always been and I think it just makes more sense as the name of the site to not have the space.

Edit: Looks like the favicon could probably use some love as well.

 

I'd leave it as is, don't agree about removing the space from Admin Addict title used. I think the title should have a space between Admin Addict, for me using AdminAdict would look wrong, not to mention that's not how search engines have been seeing it displayed for many years. Also, the logo does have space between the two, the Addict part is located inside a "quote". The admin part isn't. Giving the impression they ARE separate words from each other.

 

Agree with you, AdminAddict looks a little bit awkward.
