I love general forums, I think they are a great way to interact with people on the internet. Especially ones with blogs and arcades. (I'm like a kid all over again)

But with loads of forums with the general niche, it is hard to find one which suits yourself. Hence so many people making there own, example: Me.

Even with a General forum it is so hard to make your self unique, You would have to be some kind of god to make a really good active community in a year using a general niche.

It takes more than a year to truly establish any kind of forum successfully.

Of course :D I only said a year to compare it with time and space and how many other forums there are.

    No it doesn't....

I've known people to build an active, established and content-worthy site in under two months...

What I've quoted is your opinion.

 - that'd be a great suggestion for a hygiene forum!

And yes, VERY funny name...

Maybe you should let him start his own site sometime, with your assistance. May be cool.

    *runs to register it*

    :p:lol:

    j/k

Sounds like a good domain. I've tried my hand at a couple of general topic forums but never did any good with them. I wish ya best of luck with it. :)

I'm afraid that won't be happening.

Aside from being too young, my son has a form of Autism called Asperger Syndrome. While he's highly intelligent and near to being a computer genius, there are too many who are more than willing to take advantage of unsuspecting kids on the internet. Working as much as I do, I couldn't watch him all the time.

I'll let him stick to his parental-controlled game sites. ;)

Sorry about the mental illness, Peggy...

And although I'm not a parent, I was once his age and my mom used to monitor me at all times... The normal parent would, I suppose...

At least you have a legit reason for doing so - some parents just don't care or don't have a good enough reason for not letting their child have their own website...

    Kudos to you!

Actually Autism/Asperger Syndrome isn't a mental illness, per se. It's a neurobiological disorder of the brain. :) Asperger Syndrome

Regardless, he's highly intelligent, very intellectual, has a high IQ, and unless you knew what to look for, you'd never know he was 'different'.

Glad to hear you wouldn't be able to tell... ;)

And, even though he has a neurological (you spelled it wrong, by the way), it's good to hear he's smart!
