My point was about the service quality, not the price. It's going to be more expensive when you decide to transfer your domains in the future, thus making your "bargain" with GoDaddy null.
You might as well choose the alternative from the get-go rather than worrying about transferring down the road. It's going to happen sooner or later, I can almost promise.

I wouldn't do it, most people don't care about .us, .mobi, .biz or whatever garbage TLD they are throwing your way.

If they'd give you .com, .net, .org and maybe even .info for $19.99 then that'd be a deal, but as it stands now, I don't view what they're offering all that great.

I've been using GoDaddy for three years now. I haven't experienced anything wrong with them. I don't need to transfer them anywhere, there are a million valid coupons floating around with ways to bring down prices, and the domain interface is easy to navigate.

I haven't tried this Namecheap, but it's up to you. All I'm saying is, I don't know why people keep knocking GoDaddy.

I wouldn't use them for hosting or other services, I've never had a problem with their registration services

Oh, I don't trust anything else on their site, either. I do all of my hosting off-site.
