Would it be a good idea to start using the STOPFORUMSPAM spamlist right on opening?

Would it be wise to start using some of the more known spammer's IPs on a forum opening? Or should I wait until I start seeing a lot of spam and then use it?

Why wait? The last forum I opened, spammers started signing up within a week of the site going live.

My opinion - spam protection should be setup and running before the site has been opened to the public.

It's up to you. It doesn't really make a difference either way, in my opinion. It doesn't hurt to start early.

I'm with Nick and Kevin, I started getting spam the first day I went live.
