Seeeing how I'm from Texas, I wouldn't block any users that are from the same state as me. I highly doubt this will pass and even if it does, expect a lot of boycotts and people fighting it.

Wouldn't be shocked if it did. It's mostly a red state.

And exactly how are you going to block users just from Texas?

Nope, of course I would not... even though I live in my communist, socialist state.... ah, will soon get away from here... Florida here we come.... Although I will be in Texas next month for a conference. Ritz Carlton Dallas.

lol i won't be blocking Texans

But I wonder how exactly they are going to get local jurisdictions to care. since I'm assuming they mean by local jurisdictions where i live.

It is clear the whole idea is political. Reports sent to the Texas attorney general about cybercrime have gone unanswered,

Scammers have a base of operations in Texas where they produce forged documents and they have not been stopped.

If they cannot control these things currently how can they enforce such a wide sweeping law?

I don't think I would block guys from Texas, that is as long as they adhere to my rules, then they will be safe :)

A couple of my members are from Texas, including a really good friend I've had for about three years. So my answer is...most certainly not. :D
