Why did you become an Premium Member?

Well this question is directed to the premium members of AdminAddict.

Why did you decide to donate and become an premium member here?
Was it for the extra stuff you get or did you just want to support this site?
Or do you have another reason?

Great thread, this will hopefully give a huge insight into why members actually go 'premium' on boards. My hypothesis is the majority of premium members do it for the 'good of the site' - think donation, with privileges.

 

Okay my reason is this,

#1. I wanted to support the site.
#2. I wanted the extra stuff that you get.
#3. I wanted some extra points in the competition

BTW how did you get access to this forum? You don't match any of the criterias set up.

Ah okay didn't even thougt about looking at that, I guess I am so used to reputation not being used so much .

 

I am not a premium member. I feel like supporting the site, but not yet. How ever I will donate/purchase in the future months.

 

Mostly to donate, but thought a members area would open up to do some private Q&A on some things.

The private office section worked even better for those things but at the time had not yet been set.



Premium membership question: I got an email stating I would be automatically re-upped as a member in a year. While I'm delighted to donate once the future is difficult to predict. Is there any way to change that so it expires and does not auto charge my paypal account?

 

Yeah, you should be able to cancel the subscription through PayPal.

 

I have 2 things from AA in my Paypal account
Subscription Creation, status = active.


I'll delete that and see if my snazzy title disappears.

EDIT - still have title.

Maybe re-think the default on this to a one time thing? These types of things are always hard for me to decide.

 

It doesn't matter what you delete in Paypal since the payment is already made and you will stay Premium until your time as runned out. And yes that is the one you should cancel.

 

Yeah, deleting the subscription won't delete your Premium Membership status here.
