Does anyone seriously actually use this thing in vBulletin? Because I really, really doubt anyone has, and the card that it gives you seems fairly useless in general for just about anything.

In fact, I tested it, just to prove its lack of worth. What do I get? A vcf file, with the file name being my USER ID. Not my username, user ID. As if '1' is a descriptive name for a virtual business card. Or that '599' is even remotely useful as a file name.

So fair enough, maybe it's got my profile info, right? No.

No, I get the above. What use is that to anyone as a business card? None, because by default (and it doesn't count custom fields anyway), you don't have things like work email address or site or real name etc. You don't have a phone number field by default.

So basically, it has your username (as name, despite 98% of people online using a pseudonym), your email address... and your website. That's not very useful to anyone. For someone like Nick who presumably uses an actual name for their username, it has tangently some form of use (although just Nick or Bob or Steve isn't exactly too useful on a business card), but for pretty much anyone else, it's complete junk.

Indeed, who at vBulletin even thought this was remotely a useful field to take vBulletin into?

Oh, and it doesn't even have your avatar or profile picture for the photo...
