I'm still learning how to take advantage of Google Analytics tools on my forums, and was wondering about Event Tracking. It seems to be designed to track user interaction with important elements on a site; for instance, playing a video. What use might it be put to on a forum, where you probably wouldn't care how many times a user-posted video was played?

Maybe on contests??? It would be good to detect or monitor that there is no cheating?? I never used this, but it's quite interesting.

I haven't looked into this at all and haven't the slightest clue what it does, but based on your example, I wonder if it can track views/replies/activity within a certain individual thread?
