Do you mean Premium Members or real-life VIPs on your forum?

 

people who donate/get certain things to become a VIP or watever u call it!

 

Custom titles and private forum are pretty popular premium perks. (Say that three times fast.)

 

bolded and colored username (single color, not by choice)
live topic (automatically updates thread with new posts, no refresh)
larger avatar dimensions and filesize
higher pm storage
favorite smilies (they can choose what shows up in the default smilie boxes)
personal stickies
access to a VIP forum (usually used for filesharing, premium site invitations, adult material, adult site logins, etc) -- we used to have A LOT going in on there.. hundreds of gigs of music and movies, but the guy hosting its server took us down, going to bring something back
no banner ads (or any other ads at the moment)

maybe other stuff can't recall at the time

 

Disable ads for vip members.

Private sections free of the regular BS.

I installed the downloads II modification from vbulletin.org. Regular members get 5 downloads in 24 hours. VIP members get unlimited downloads.

 

We have disabled our VIP memberships until vbcredits get this automated for us as we allow members to earn credits (cash) by posting etc but it is a case of writing all their names down, the dates they paid with their credits and renewing it if they asked, demoting them from that group and a right daily farce

Were probably going to have a paid system in the future with a few dollars for ad free and lots of pics in albums etc

 

We dont have VIP members. The closest I think we get is staff members (from vbulletin, or Virgin Media). They have access to their own private forum.

 

I currently do not have a V.I.P's members group however am at the point of planning to set it up - I will list my current ideas for the VIP Members (obviously some consist of what Mods I currently have installed):-

+ Larger Private Message Quota - at the moment it is set at 25 VIP's will get 100
+ PM's Read Receipt - allow VIPs to deny Read Receipts
+ Access to our (about to be set up) VIP Board - which will consist of relaxed forum rules, more picture uploads, links to legally downloadable content etc.
+ Cheaper ARCADE Passes (I have the arcade pass and vbCredits installed so VIP's will be able to purchase an ARCADE PASS for 1000 credits instead of the current 10 000)
+ Access to further games in the arcade
+ Ability to set up own vBookie Events (I have edited vBookie code to work straight out of the box for 3.8.3)
+ Reduced Ads (Forum Sponsors ads still show however user purchasable ads will not show etc)
+ Custom Avatar (the ability to upload or use a custom avatar)
+ Custom Name (the ability to use a custom usergroup name)
+ Improved Signature permissions (some relaxed permissions regarding signatures)
+ VIP Members also get discounts from our real life merchandise such as hats, shirts, mouse pads etc (this stuff is being made as we speak and will made available within the next month)
+ VIP Members also gain concessions in regards to our competitions, not to stack things in their favor but they allow little concessions.
+ VIP Members get to ask questions to our interviewed guests (we normally get one or two sporting personalities a month and this allows them to ask them questions)

This is just the beginning of what I have planned but am not sure if that stuff Warrants the $10 a month or $50 a year membership I want to charge.
