If you have a Credits/Points system installed on your forums what type of things do you have set up for your members to spend their Credits/Points on?

I haven't done this on my site yet, but on other sites I've spent points on advertising and little images for the postbit.

When I used a credits system (XenonBucks), members used to purchase premium memberships with them. :)

Yeah I think that is with vBCredits - they have vBadvertiser and vbCommerce which apparently does that type of thing I was just wondering if there was anything extrodinary people had come up with or installed for their forums that people could spend credits on.

Actually I would love it if I could make it so people had to spend points to pay for each PM (stamps) or to create a thread on the buy/sell/trade forum... not sure if it can do all that, I'd have to look into it.

I have a couple things for my members at the moment:-
I use vBCredits as in my mind it is the best credits system out there and the team is so handy when you require help etc.

I currently have the following things that members can spend their credits on:-
+ Arcade - pay per play, arcade passes

+ vBookie - I recoded this to work with 3.8 right out of the box, they bet on weekly sporting events.

+ vBAdvertiser - I have installed my vBAdvertiser system, my sponsors get advertising some places but then my forum members can purchase advertising space to advertise their sites on certain parts of my forums and websites - they pay for their advertising space through their credits, or can purchase further credits to pay for advertising.

+vBCommerce - My members can purchase Icons that appear on the website when they post, I have things like drinks, foods, funny, and people love buying funny items and giving them away to other members like a Muu Muu or something.

+ vBCommerce+ - An addon I have for vBCommerce are people being able to buy paid subscriptions using their credits, this allows my members to either pay cash or with their credits to unlock more features on the website, I also have the addon for downloads - so I can upload something for people to be able to purchase and download.

Users can also purchase to post new threads/polls etc in certain areas which are like "Premium Forums" that are not included in the paid subscriptions.

Good, so it can do that; can you also charge points to send PMs?

I am not sure about charging for the Private Messages, however I will look into it for you but the guys at vbCredits are great if you say that thats what you want they make a couple edits to the script tell you to download it from here and it will do what you want so if it doesn't I am sure they will help you to get it to do so.

Merk, maybe your members could spend some points to have promotional items with your logo on them?
