    Hi all!

At the urging of Arny I have uploaded the "sidebar column" mod to my site. I love the way that it looks on the default skin, but I am having problems getting it to appear on the custom skin I purchased. I have added the correct "styleid" in the options section and didn't think there was anything else to do.

I just emailed the designer, but thought I would check in here to see if anyone has had the same problem.

    Thanks!
    RR

What side are you wanting the sidebar on? Just wrap the forumhome template accordingly with a table one cell for the forumbits and the other for your sidebar. If you need any help with this dont hesitate to ask :)

I will be honest and say that I have no idea what you are talking about. :) My preference is to have the sidebar column on the right side of the forum tables.

As I mentioned, I did contact the skin designer for assistance as well.
Here are the instructions I received from the designer:

I have followed his instructions, but still cannot get the skin to display the sidebar column on either the right or left sides.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!!

The sidebar mod uses plugins with template replacements to add the actual column to your site.

If you're using a custom skin, it's most likely not working because the code that the plugins need to find are not present or have been changed.

You would need to edit the plugin itself in order for it to work.

    Thanks Chani!

That seems incredibly complicated to me since I am not the tech guru on my team. In your experience is that something that is complex or could be easily fixed? I would like to get an idea as to what I am requesting before I move forward.

    Thanks again!!

It shouldn't really be all that difficult.

I'd need to see the code for the templates that you want this to appear on. :)

    Hi All,

I connected directly with the skin developer and they were able to help me with the issue. Just one more reason I recommend Sultan Themes when looking for a vBulletin skin!

    Thanks for all your help!
