vBulletin 4 screenshots (based on that Alpha)

That's just a few screenshots I took with print screen when the alpha live board was open to the public, showing the pages Internet Brands didn't show you under Screenshots on their site. Here's a transcript, minus the images:

This link keeps turning up everywhere in threads about what vB4 looks like and I have no idea why. It is getting close to spam now.

Important points:

1) It is a link to a 3.8 installation, not vB4.
2) It looks absolutely NOTHING LIKE vB4.

I have no idea whatsoever why people keep posting it everywhere. It is simply muddying the waters and confusing matters even more than they are already.

It was looseley based on that yes, but it wasn't that close.

I mean, it's a nice style and all that, very good work whoever made it, but people keep posting it in the "what does vB4 look like?" threads and it's *so* misleading to do that.

 

Actually screenies that are linked to in the OP of this thread - that's not Kier's style at all. It is, however, very close to the current vB4 style.

 

That's because the screenshots I took are of the Alpha 5 version, you know, that the site apparently running vB 4 live was running. From that same site.

 

They're already outdated since Alpha 6 was released yesterday with further style enhancements. Though everyone should be able to see the style firsthand soon™.

No style enhancements in alpha 6 I can see. Guess I'll just need to look a little harder.

 

Lets quit posting this link every where mmkay. It has nothing to do with vBulletin 4 and all you're doing is spamming it.

 

That reminds me... do any of the later versions promise to change the post buttons and what not? Those Facebook styled ones are way worse than the ones Kier showed ages ago, and they look a bit dull in comparison.

Yes. One must keep some levity in their lives to get through even the most trying times. Otherwise, they will go insane and make it to the nightly news. I know this isn't as trying a time as what some others are going through these days but it still fits.
