    Hi all.

My users would benefit greatly with the ability to post LaTeX on the forum. I found this mod HERE called vbLatex, but I've hit a snag attempting to install it. We've already installed LaTeX on our server, including dvipng in accordance to the requirements. I followed the installation instructions for the plug in to the letter, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Just curious if anyone here has installed this before or has any experience with it? The plug in is actually for vB 3.6 so I am wondering if that could be the problem as my forum is 3.8.4 PL1.

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

Are you getting any error messages or does it just not work?

Thanks for the reply David. I should have been more specific about the error last night, but it was so late when I posted this.

Basically it was just dumping the PHP on screen. After a good nights rest I tryed again this morning and it turned out the editor I was using to edit the config file was placing some characters in the php file that it didn't like. Finally got it working using notepad to edit it! :)

Thanks quantnet. We actually ended up switching to mathtex as well. Seems to work nice, I just have to tweek the max image size allowed in the php file and we're golden!

This math stuff is so over my head, but I'm happy to offer it to my members.
