Ok, I'll do my best to describe what I'm looking for here, so excuse if my terminology is incorrect.

vBA v3.2.1, nothing special done with it. Set as homepage and using modules, default and custom.

    vB forums v3.8.4

I've created a subdomain to make sure it is working properly. The subdomain is more that 1 file. I'd like to be able to integrate this subdomain into vBA as a PHP Page/Module. I'm not sure which.

I do have a single php page made for something unrelated and working properly. I was not able to make the leap on the intended subdomain, completely. Another directory was made as a copy of the subdomain -- call it phpdomain.

I created the PHP Page, assigned its pageid, etc.

I could not search for a relevant thread on vBA forums, I submitted a ticket and it was Closed without response. So I'm assuming I just did not word my ticket correctly or something.

So I ask any of you to help me get my understanding correctly.

Is what I'm asking possible even?

    Thanks

The reason that Brian closed your ticket is because all support questions about their products are to be asked on the forums.

The Tickets are primarily for license issues.

I understand what you're trying to do, but I have no idea how to do it. :(

With Vbadvanced you can definately create a page on a subdomain and I belive there are instructions on how to do so in the Vbadvanced forums with a little searching. I know I have done so in the past with little effort.

Thanks Shelby. I looked a bit more and came across 2 threads over there. I put them in my thread.

But I really don't know if what I found was actually applicable as I'm not sure my terminology is correct. Meaning, is what I'm trying to do mean a new Page or an Integration? Or if it's both, I have no idea.

I've made an attempt and it is not making any sense to me. Moreover, no one is offering help on my thread. :(

So I can only assume at this point due to still lack of knowledge, is that I've not described my issue very well, ppl don't care too much about it, it's not applicable, or I haven't looked or done enough.

This is quite frustrating trying to get help. Usually I'm able to find what I'm looking for and do it. :(

    Heya,

Well, example the front page of Vbadvanced is a page.

Some people make a page and wrap the forums with it.

You can create a page and put it in a subdomain.

You can create a page put it in a subdomain and wrap the forums.

Which is it you're trying to do?

    Let's see if this helps....lol

    vbA in root

    forums in root

    root/subdomain
    ...index.php
    ...page1.php
    ...page2.php
    ...page4.php
^this all works as-is b/c its just a pure subdomain.

    root/folder

My aim is to have that subdomain "embedded" into the vBA. Or meaning to have vBA wrapping around that subdomain. This would then mean that the user is not taken away from the root. I hope my understanding and description are correct.

I don't know what the proper way is to do this. Moreover, I created an exact copy of the subdomain, calling it root/folder. In case that is a proper way to start.

Shelby, if you're willing to do some hands on, please let me know what IM client you use, email, etc. And if you're willing to do convo over voice. I appreciate your assistance!!

    So,

You're trying to intergrate an existing PHP page into Vbadvanced and display them in a subdirectory?

IE, you have bob.php and you want it to be wrapped in Vbadvanced?

Ok, I just tried to do basic integration of the forums...I think.

Now I cannot log into my site via typical, nor to admincp.... :(

why did I have to mess w/ this.

    now what?

Edit: I did some circular reference. Therefore, required a backup (which I had just prior to the actions) of the db to be re-instituted.
