Unable to quote smilies with less than 25 posts

    Just noticed this when I was replying to a thread in the Xenforo section I created.

    A kind bloke replied and used a smiley in his reply. I went to quote him and I get the error that "I need 25 posts in order to post links in this forum"

    I deleted his smiley and the post went through just fine.

    when i post ".me" on the other post, it would not went through too (while i am still having less than 25posts). i got the similar warn. lol. it was not even a link. but the system detected it that way to cut down link spams. :D i guessed the smiley has a "dot"?

    It looks for the dot. It isn't perfect, but, it has done what it is meant to do and that's stop the spammers.
