    What is a verified account?

    To prevent identity confusion, Twitter is experimenting (beta testing) with a 'Verified Account' feature. We're working to establish authenticity with people who deal with impersonation or identity confusion on a regular basis. Accounts with a . are the real thing!

    Ive already inquired about the business one, not sure if they will bring out costs but i doubt it.

    I wouldn't count on this being free forever. Twitter hasn't made a dime since it started, yet it costs a small fortune to run, so expect things to change soon, especially if the economy keeps dipping and investors want to see some kind of return on all that money they've invested

    I think they're more looking @ doing this for celebrities than anyone, right off the bat. I wouldn't count on a verified business badge being free, at all.
