If you need pictures for your site, do you find them on the internet, or do you try to take your own pictures.

On my forum, and especially on my blog, about 99.999% of the pictures that I post I took them myself. That way I do not have to worry about coryright infringement issues. This also means that I have over 130 gig of videos and pictures on my computer.

Between my wife and I, we had to buy a teradrive for the network.

I always take em' - while some of the stock photography offered is excellent, taking them yourself allows for a wider range of creativity (i.e. to meet your exacting specifications and/or quality expectations).

You mean pictures for templates? I go with stock illustrations.

I use iStockPhoto for article photographs and images on one of my sites. Since any images that I post on vBCodex are usually screenshots, I take my own.

If it's something I'm personally working on I try real hard to take my own pictures. This emilinates copy right issues and allows me to install a water mark with my site on the picture. That way if/when it's used by someone else it can serve as an advertisement.
