Suspicious URLS

What do you do when someone is posting suspicious looking URLs, we just had this one posted, it certainly looks dodgy to me:

You Get Spammers From Web Crawlers..Like When I Started My Site, I Had Spiders On Forum Home. The Created A Thread With The Same Thing. Its Not A Real Person. Its Probably A Web Crawler. Correct Me If Im Wrong.

What is that code usually used for, what would be its purpose?

 

I think it might be someone copying the from a javascript type link thing.

EG: If you go here, ABoxcafe - Your Entertainment Network - Powered by vBulletin, and try to copy the link for "Fun Stuff" at the top, you get something like that when you paste it.

 

agreed with the above post its a failed javascript attempt.

It can be used to mess up a users computer and browser. I recommend that you delete the post or at least remove the link from the post.
