Strangest Introduction!

What is the most strange intro thread you have had on your forums. Someone just posted this:

Smells like a faeces obsessed troll to me

 

That would be a ban on my site...

All my introductions are fantastic. No poo eating members at my site.

I don't think I've ever had an introduction as strange as the one originally mentioned - I'll have to do some searching... but that one is odd, to say the least.

 

We have had quite a few odd ones now and then, im gonna have a look to see if theres some even more weirder ones

 

There is a vbulletin modification made just for people like that. Its called the one touch spam ban and clean up.

It bans the person, bans their ip address, bans their email address, deletes all of their post and threads, and deletes all of the private messages they sent to other members.

When I was an admin on a friend's forum some "thing" signed up, maybe not an "intro" but it was it's first post.

It posted some weird log type info. It basically said something like it was scanning something. Then it posted 2 screen shots of some forums of the day my friend (the admin) signed up to those particular forum.

Basically the screen shots were the part of the forum where it said;

"Please welcome our newest member *friend's name here*"

He also said it happened before.

And he joined those forums about 3-4 years before this thing posted, so it was really weird. Seemed like this thing had been following him. Oh, and when this was posted the forum wasn't even open yet, only me and him knew about it

I know it sounds crazy, but I think I took a screen shot of it somewhere, so I'll try to look for it :p

 

That's definitely weird, but at least not disgusting

go figure...turned out to be a wonderful member...totally no problems at all...

Ah yes, ironballs. Posted an introduction saying "This is your ruler!" then producing pictures of me that I took but never put online. Scary. He turned out to be a volatile troll.

I feel sorry for you guys. I don't think I've ever had to deal with any "strange" introductions - certainly none taking it to that extent.

 

I did have one who made a fairly interesting and funny introduction complete with a little poem about helium being a noble gas. He would have been a great member if he hadn't been a troll.
