Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am writing this post today as I am looking for staff to join my new forum that has been created.

I will give you some details regarding the website first (so if you find you are not interested you can click out as soon as possible) and then will go into details as to what is being offered for people who take up the staffing roles.

The Mystery District:
The Mystery District is a community I have been planning for approximately six months, from planning on a piece of paper to finally (today) starting to implement it onto the World Wide Web.

The Mystery District is a community based on the discussion of criminal events inwhich has mystery surrounding it - I am not talking about the robbery at the store down the road we are looking at discussing things like the Amityville Murders, the death of Michael Jackson, Princess Diana: Accident or Murder, the disappearance of Madeline McCain, and any other criminal act that has an ounce of mystery surrounding it.

In keeping with the whole Mystery theme, there is nothing more mysterious than reports of Paranormal Phenomenon. Whether it be reports of Ghost Sightings, UFO sightings, Alien/E.T encounters, Out of Body Experiences etc and The Mystery District allows our members of the community a place to discuss such mysterious events not to mention a place to post evidence they believe proves such Paranormal Phenomenon.

This website is not yet open - and it does look bare - this is due to the fact that I, myself, not to mention friends and family have been doing our own research into some of the biggest stories, working on content for the website, however with the amount of work left to do to prepare the site for the opening we will be holding off posting it until the site is nearer to kicking off so everything looks active and ready to be commented on.

The Proposition for Potential Staff:
We are looking for staff who are happy to take up both administrative and moderating roles, the administration team will be responsible for the up keep of the community - implement new features, step in on disputes, and handle day to day running of the community.

The moderators will be responsible for ensuring that the forum is kept as clean as possible, ensuring the thread titles are accurately named, ensure all is nice and friendly across the community and dealing with community members who have issues.

What I am proposing is that any person wishing to be a member of the staff will join The Mystery District, with all potential staff being placed as Moderators for the first three months after our grand opening.

After the first three months of our grand opening those that have been active in the community, and those I feel can be trusted will be invited to be administrators.

Each administrator that is with: The Mystery District for twelve (12) months will be invited to nominate a paid forum software in which will be purchased for them as a thank you for being such an integral part of the community.

The 12 months is determined by me and my other fellow administrator - it would require you having an active presence on the community, from posting and moderating to encouraging new members to join.

Those that go quiet for a month or two will have their 12 months suspended, with the timing to resume once you become active again.

Any person that goes AWOL for longer than 2 months will be removed from the staff list.

Please tell us what experience you have as being staff on a forum, what forum software you are use to using, and what websites we can visit to check your abilities.

If you are a graphics designer who wishes to join us, either in a staff role or as a member who can create graphics for us please let us know as we would be interested in extending the paid forum software offer to you for three (3) months work of creating all graphical images we require.

Thanks Dave appreciate the thought - six long months of planning now that I am finally implementing it gets me a little excited haha - looking forward to having it all done and the content I have prepared up and on the site so I can get it reviewed

 

As you know content is king....some good mods and you will be fine...keep us informed how the community is going.

i tried to join but it wouldnt let me...i love this idea...if you need help let me know...i'd love to join the staff and get this thing goin!!!

 

I only just realized it came up with a database error - and so I am going to fix that up but will then contact you.
