Specific Color's for staff?

Do you have specific colors for you moderators, super moderators and administrators?

I know a lot of forums I go to have their mods and smods bold, with their admins bold and italic.

But, my current set up is:

Administrator
Senior Moderator
Super Moderator
Moderator

 

This is what we have here:

Administrator
Mentor
Reviewer
Premium Member
Regular Member

And on my Linnie Forum:
Administrator
Moderator
Helper
Premium Member
Regular Member

 

For Bird is the Word;

The colors for Setsou Design are outrageous. I'll have to copy and paste, for that site.

The "Super Moderator" color is particularly "bright". :speechless:

 

Look at it on the forum on top of the black. Now THAT'S bright.

 

I love the Smod graphic I made for it. <3

 

It is quite awesome.

 

I've just been leaving them at the default colors so far.

Oh, and a crown. But I have about twenty odd more colours for other usergroups.

 

I actually don't use any differentiating color on usernames. I do have Rank Images though, which are applied per Usergroup.

I have wrestled with making such distinctions to avoid....true rank issues, like prejudice. Meaning I was going for subtle distinctions such that people would feel on the same ground, b/c we are all people, and I try to urge the Golden Rule.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but some way some how, people always look to compete over the dumbest things.

Can someone provide why it is a benefit to having such username distinctions?

 

Looks pretty, about it. And because in some sites it would be easier to identify who is who.

For my site(Pisoga) it's:

Ok right.

So i've accomplished the same thing, just not also color to the username.

I guess I should add that only Leaders are admins. No moderators or Smods.
