Hi Chani~ (Long time no talk! ;()

First Impression: I like the logo and the effect in the emblem, it's really 'out there', if you get what I mean.

    Content

Quantity of forums: I see that you separated your forums and made them into their corresponding categories. I remember that you didn't separate them at first and they were all bunched up, a little too many forums on index, but I like that you've separated them, it's easier, in my opinion and doesn't make the forum look huge and empty.

Content: I'm anxiously waiting to see some artwork! Actually, I think it's starting out well, a bit more content about the art you do and showcasing stuff could get the convo started(more) and give people the braveness to post theirs. Did you already open? If not, I understand the inactivity.

    Design

Favicon: I really like that emblem, it makes your site have a 'personality'.

On, Off icons: Shiny orbs, shiny. I like, juuuust need to change the leftover ugly vB icons!!!! Other than that, great job!

Design: I like it, but I'm having a bit of trouble, please refer to the screenshot below when you read this. The menu where it says 'Traditional work, Digital, Filmwork' and so on actually overlaps the logo making the menu unreadable, I'm using my laptop, so there might be a problem with smaller resolutions?
I like the colors used, and I like the effect achieved with the background, and I like the thead and tcat pattern, although I would love to see more continuity and I think it would look a bit better if the underlines on the tcat links weren't there(imo). Also, where it says ' Forum, last post, threads and post' I think the bevel is a bit too much.

Overall Impression: You're going in the right way! I think a good way to advertise would be in dA, Ratemydrawings and so on, I can't wait to see the artwork posted there whether it's written or drawn or even short films, I can see a lot of great discussion and people giving and getting help from there. Good luck! I hope this helps.

    Same for me too, and I'm using a 1024 x 768 resolution.

    Thank you so much! :)

Yeah, I just realized that I missed a few of those status icons in the thread view.

I'm also going to update a couple of the ones I have redone. I just need some time to do it. :o

As for the top menu, try it again and see if it's fixed for you. I had a margin-left set and float:left set, but I've changed that now. I think the margin was what was squeezing it down.

We haven't fully opened yet, but when we do, it will be with a BANG! I'm having a contest, and my moderators will be helping me to spread the word in other art and sci-fi forums.

I've also added another section for tutorials, and I hope that gets a LOT of use!

Thanks again, FMB! And thank you Tom for confirming that others were having the same problem...

You've provided no substance at all to your remarks. Leave the thread or better yet, log out. Your just being in the face rude for no reason.

    Chani --

I'm glad you used that header image....the star trekish one that I commented on.

I did notice on your portal page that there is no link to the Forums. Or I'm just not seeing which one is it, front and center. I only see it in the breadcrumbs after clicking around.

That's all I have from my limited background. Hope its just as encouraging.

    Thanks!

The logo in the header is a link to the forums homepage. I guess I need to try to squeeze in another text link in there somewhere. ;)

    Thank you, Sir. :)

This default style was never meant to be permanent, but I've had so many people tell me that they love the look that I decided that I'd take it further than I was going to.

I know that there are a few graphics that need to be replaced, and they will be. :)

I'll still develop a better theme, but I'll leave this one as an option for those that like it. :)
