Has there been any official word on this? I read it on a blog that you could get the forum only purchase from IPB for $125. I went to their site and it still said $149.99. But when I went through the shopping process and put it in the "cart" it showed up as $124.99.

But still read nothing official on it. Someone acted like it was only for "switchers". But not sure. Anyone know?

If I could force myself to actually like IP.Board, I would too. :P The perfect solution would be the vBulletin script with Invision Power's management skills.

My WDBuddies site has needed a script change and I haven't touched it in quite a while. So, this is the perfect opportunity to get the IPB which is what I wanted to try out and switch to anyways :)

I have to start looking for skins/styles though. Any suggestions?

Why not pick it up? :P

You really have to use it for a week or two to realize how good you can make it. Plus, I recall you asking me about some IP.B stuff not too long ago. :P

IP.Board was the first paid-solution I used, dare I say. :P It was version 2.3 if I recall correctly, and I loved it.

But after four months, I switched to vBulletin and haven't looked back. I've played with IPB 3, but it's just so weird-looking, that I can't wrap my eyes around it. Any 2.x version of IPB is fine with me, but anything 3.x+ is just a huge turn off to me.
Don't know why, but that's just what it is. :P

Opposite for me. I like the way vB 4 plays and reacts to inputs, I hate version 3 with a passion.

3.0 is weird for me too, but once you get rid of the silly sidebars and adjust the styling, it looks okay.

Guess who's the owner of a new IPB license?

    Me, that's who ;)

Even though I didn't get a response yet from the Sales folks, I had to take advantage of that great price. Although, the price didn't reflect the $125 price, but I'm sure it'll be fixed when it's processed :)

Alright...now I'm on the hunt for the skin and then to do some modifications :D

    It actually expired today.

I purchased my license (actually the suite ;) ) yesterday at the special price. So, I'll be working with it this week as I'm now searching for a skin and I think that I'm almost settled on one :)
