Are there any mods that were made for older vbulletins you wish you could use on the latest?

There is quite a few I have read about and like the sound of for example vb plaza and I think there was one called vbhotornot, at least I think it was that.

That one touch ban and clean I wouldnt mind being updated for certain although the older one does work with the fix.

Absolutely any shop or RPG mod before all the jerks decided they needed to start charging for services. I miss the days when modifications were by hobbyists rather than businesses.

I thought it needed a few tweeks, but there was a mod that you could email to post. It wasn't perfect then, but I'm sure there would be a ton of users that would appreciate that one again!

So you just email the forum and it posts it as you? Sounds very different :D

I haven't checked it recently, but there was some kind of mod that pulled in your Cafepress items and displayed them as if it was part of the forum. I don't think it works the same way any more, if it works at all.

    Basically. :)

I don't remember if it posted under your own username or not, and it didn't always post replies to the original thread (it would start new topics half the time).

But as I said, with a few tweeks I know a lot of people who would really like that. :)

Combine it with emailing every post to users who so choose to revceive them (say, post them to an email list), and it would make everyone happy; those who like forums and those who like email lists. :)

I remember that one! There was a time that I really wished it were still around. It was taken down, if I remember correctly, because CafePress changed how their API worked.

Not something I would use but I can see it being quite popular with those unable to get online and have their phones handy.

Some of the older Star Wars geeks that I know (I'm one, too, so I can talk like that) are really stubborn when it comes to entering the 21st century on the web, and because they have their phones with them, they want everything to be email-based, so, yeah, on astromechfactory.com I would use a mod like that. :)
