So last night i added facebook connect. It has worked only for one member, and worked once for me. Now for me and the other members all we get is the little loading icon where the facebook connect button should be.
How do i fix this? Is it a error on my forum, or is it internet speed, or something to do with facebook?
What happens when you view my forum, does the button load?

I have just clicked onto them and all it is doing is loading constantly, I wonder if this is a comet chat incompatibility maybe. Try removing the cometchat code from the footer and header and see if that works?

Have you changed anything on your forum since it was working for you?

    Havent changed a thing.
If it were a incompatibility to comet chat, wouldnt it not work all the time, not just sometimes?
Ill give it a try though.

Just took it out of the header and footer templates, and its still not working, so I wouldnt say its a imcompatibility to comet chat.

If there isnt an answer for this on vb.org within its thread and you dont get an answer there and after a reinstallation from scratch it isnt working still I would just remove it for now until something better or a fix comes up.

Maybe it is a Firefox only problem, try it in IE if your not using it already. It certainly isnt working for me in FF.

Is whatever is just in the loading animation hosted locally, or is it hosted by facebook?

If its locally hosted, its a problem on your end 9/10 times. If its hosted by facebook and just takes forever to load, its a facebook problem.

Have your members try to access facebook.com, if that gives them problems then there probably isn't much you can do.

Thing is, I know its installed properly coz its worked for me and a small handfull of other members, so at a guess id say its likely either facebook or their internet, but I cant be sure.
I use IE, so Id say the issue is apparent in for FF and IE. I have asked on the mod thread, but I dont think the creator is very good with support, so I guess Im relying on people who may have had the issue too. From doign a quick read there were a few people who seemed to have the same issue, but nothing was said how it was resolved, so im guessing it may have resolved itself?

I think when we were using this we had the same problem so we just removed it in the end.

I'll be trying vbnexus tonight, if I'm successful and you still want it installed, I'll drop you a PM, I'm sure I can do it for you for nothing :)

Just installed vbNexus successfully, wasn't too hard either, way easier than facebok connect! You can see it in action on my site, which is linked in my postbit :)
